DC Re-boot? Again?

With the news spreading quickly through the internet about DC’s new look for their characters, many are wondering what this means for the comics over all? It seems that DC is once again doing a small reboot of their characters. For what reason? Well it could be to stay up with Marvel, maybe to bring some attention back to their comics or simply to update their characters looks. After all, who says characters have to stay the same forever? Characters change and develop over time based on their experiences just like humans do. From the first picture that we have seen of some of the characters new looks, posted on The Nerdist, it is interesting to analysis the new takes on these classic heroes.

First, Superman is back to wearing jeans and now a t-shirt. Although this makes him seem more human and laid back, this is not the look many would want for this all American hero. Jeans would not have been a first choice for us here and many here at the office are not too thrilled with this change. The bloody rages wrapped around his fists are interesting; they make you want to know more on how they got this way and what is the next step for this more laid back looking super hero? This new jean wearing superman could just be temporary until all his powers come back but we will have to see.

Second, thanks to Comic Book Resource, we get to see the new wonderwomen look. Now, personally I like this new look and feel like it was a good update for her. Although it is not like her old look, this new one brings her more into the current era. She looks more in power and able to handle what ever comes her way, not that she could not before. Although, the color scheme that we are lacking from the new Superman look, we get here with Wonderwoman. It would not have been right to not have one of them in all red, white and blue.

Will this re-boot work? Will, you the fans, take to these changes? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment down below and tell us what you think!
