Another Comic Expo has come and gone! Here is our recap and review from the Expo!

What a convention this year! For weeks, there was hype that this convention was now bigger and better than the previous years and boy was that correct! The convention had to be moved to a bigger hall in order to fit all the artists, cosplayers, indie comics and vendors. First for the pros:

There was a lot more people this year which is great! The traffic flow on the expo floor was great and there was barely a slow through out the weekend. The lay out was very well done as well, which is very important to make sure that everyone gets good traffic to their table. We meet several new artist and indie comic makers, such as our self, as well as got to see many friends and fans! Thank you to the fans that did come out and welcome to the new ones! We look forward to hearing how you like the series! Now, we did have our reservations about the convention growing in size as when this happens, some times, the indie comic makers and artist can get over looked as people want the main stream and big name items. But that did not happen, the vibe of the crowd remained the same as it has over the last several year, to which we were relieved! We had a great time and can not wait for the next one! This is our home convention and are grateful to be able to come here every year!

Now for a few cons: The first day, it was hard to get cell phone reception on the floor, most of the time there was none. (After speaking with staff, we were informed that they are working to improve this for next year’s expo, Thank you!). The cosplayers mainly were out front of the expo so you did not see a lot walking the floor. As noted above, the expo was in a bigger hall this year which meant being moved to another side of the convention center. The first day, there was a lot of confusion on where to park as well as finding the entrance to the expo. More signs would be helpful for next year. The food that was available at the concession stands was ok but very expensive. There was however, a few food trucks out front, which provided an alternative to the food inside.

Overall though, we had a great time and we appreciate all the hard work of the staff for making this a smooth run show! We look forward to next year!
