Once again we will be at the Long Beach Comic Expo which is being held on February 28th thru Match 1st 2015. We will be in artist alley, we are still waiting to receive our table number and placing on the floor, a post and announcement on all social media platforms will go out as soon as we have this information.
BUT! Here is what you need to know about the convention before coming out:
This year will be the first the Geekfest Film Festival which will be playing finalists films over the course of the weekend. This is a traveling film festival and audience members can help pick the winners. We are interested to see how this festival will go and work and of course we are excited to see some fan made Star Wars films!
The Dwayne McDuffie awards will also be back this year. This award is for diversity in comic books. This is the second year for this award.
The Cosplay Contest is now bigger than last year with more categories and prizes! This is one of the highlights of the convention and we love seeing all the cosplayers and the details that they put into their costumes.
The hours for the convention this year are as follows:
Saturday February 28th : 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday March 1st : 10:00 a.m. to 5:oo p.m.
Advanced ticket holders can go in an hour early so 9:00 a.m. both days!
Currently you can get a weekend pass for only $45! That is truly the best price and it allows you the ability to make sure you can see all you want to see.
As always we advise that you take a look at the convention map and details online and plan what you want and see and do. This convention every year is growing in popularity so it is always best to have a plan!
Also, please remember to be respectful of cosplayers and other convention goers. Be polite in asking for pictures and respect peoples answers even if it is a ‘No’.
